uber-sync: make your pilot go with unix

I _love_ palm pilots. But it was almost a year after I bought one before I realized what it was for. I'd used it like every other small computer I'd ever used and put lots of nice applications on it - I hadn't realized the great potential that was avaiable by having the palm pilot share information bi-directionally with the desktop.

There aren't very good unix tools for this so I decided to fix them, I started with jpilot which was easily the best and fixed all the things that anoyed me.

Uber sync will:

sync against ical
sync against your mailspool, sending outgoing messages, and adding address entries for new email addresses
sync the address book
sync your todo and memo items
set the time on your palm pilot automatically
let you sync over the network
automatically backup your palm pilot
sync avantgo and plucker webclippings
hotsync your palm every 30 mins if it's in the cradle
determine if you palm wants a hotsync or a ppp connection automagically and take appropriate action

In short this is the one palm application you need and better still because it's command line it doesn't tie you to a particular palm-desktop software - I like jpilot you may not.
